Governance
Trust is built on transparency.
At Early Motion Matters, strong governance ensures that our mission is pursued with integrity, accountability, and care. Our Board of Directors, leadership team, and policies provide the foundation for how we operate and how we earn the trust of families, partners, and supporters.
How We Govern
Board Oversight. Our Board of Directors guides the strategic direction of Early Motion Matters and ensures that we remain mission-driven, fiscally responsible, and responsive to the needs of families and communities.
Ethical Standards. We operate under clear policies — including our Bylaws, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Whistleblower Policy — to prevent misconduct, safeguard resources, and ensure decisions are made in the best interest of the children and families we serve.
Transparency. We commit to sharing how we use our resources, how we measure impact, and how we stay compliant with nonprofit best practices. Policies and organizational documents are available for review on our Transparency page.
Accountability. Families, donors, volunteers, and community partners can expect honest communication, responsible stewardship of funds, and a clear process for raising concerns. We view accountability not as an obligation, but as a core value.
Our Governance Documents
Bylaws — Outlines our structure, purpose, and operating rules.
Conflict of Interest Policy — Ensures decisions are made without personal or financial bias.
Whistleblower Policy — Protects individuals who raise concerns in good faith.
Our Promise in Governance
Early Motion Matters will be guided by fairness, integrity, and respect for the trust placed in us. Governance is not just about policies — it is about living our values every day, in every decision we make.
